pendulum? christ...

jesus fucking christ. where do i start? i hope i'm not that old as to assume that nobody who reads this won't understand that pendulum used to be fucking awesome. i'm not sure if this coincides with the time that drugs used to be good too, but that doesn't matter. tonight i made the horrible mistake of thinking 'oh i know they sold out but maybe they'll play their good shit'. in fact it was this belief that almost got me in a fight with one of them, as when everything went quiet i yelled "play a track off or before hold your colour, or please at least something good". seconds after i yelled this to the lead singer (or whatever the fuck you call him), he asked me to come to the side of the booth. i went over, and understanding that i may of pissed him off i didn't expect any hugs or kisses. he grabbed me by the neck of my duffel coat and mumbled some indecipherable australian nonsense and kind of looked at me as if it deserved a response. it was at this point i fully understood that not only are pendulum total sell outs, they are slightly bitter about the whole thing too. it was only after the show when that gareth (the person who does the music) came over to apologise and talk about the band. i explained to him that he had let down a seriously big community of true music fans (dirty womping krusties) in spite of fat spotty freshers around the world who love it then show it to everyone and anyone they're ever met and he really, fully understood. he told me that getting a major label deal had affected the music and that the next album would be something worth listening to. we'll fucking see.

everybody knows how fucking cool the 60's and shit were. how? i don't know. all i do know is that the music was better, the fashion was better and that my mum was there. this being said, i've decided to put up some throw back shit you should all go out to buy and wear. first, everybody needs a fucking coat. like that one. it's rockin' the bright colours but still has the 60's style if worn with the right shit. i know you're all povs but at £240 who can resist eh? look some more here.

some fuckin music

i know you're all still buzzing about take that's last album or whatever so i've decided to take it on my self you sort you all out. here is a small selection of songs i've been listening to this month and i know you'll like them. i've even thrown some electro in there for you all because i'm a sell-out. enjoy. if you haven't got spotify then, well, skanked. December - Getting fucked up

hello fuckers

right. i just realised that this piece of shit is still on the internet and that i had forgotten to remind everyone how monogloided and uncultured you all are. the first stop on this new, revamped journey of discovery is a T.V series that only ever aired in america called Eastbound and Down. god knows why it never made it to T.V here and was left to rot infront of the disgusting couch dwellers we call americans but this really deserves a better audience. Do everyone a favour and fucking watch it here, yeah? Oh, one more thing, if you really can't figured out how to use ninjavideo remove yourself from the gene pool.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre & DiG!

Holy fucking shit. I underrated this band for so long, having only heard one of their twelve albums ( six of which were made in two years) and not being that enthused by it. That was until I saw DiG!, a 2004 documentary by Ondi Timoner. DiG! follows the exploits of two bands, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Dandy Warhols. It is narrated by Courtney Taylor, and tells the story of their friendships, rivallaries, their rises and their falls. It's only after you watch this film that you can really learn to appreciate the BJM. Anton Newcombe is an amazingly interesting character and at times it's hard to believe it's even real and now having listened to all the BJM albums I don't think I will ever stop. Seriously, watch the film you won't regret it.

Super Rad Animation

I know nothing of the background of this guy, but the video 'Wolf and Pig' was featured on youtube and rightly so, this is a really good idea and is executed brilliantly. I gave it 5 stars.

One of my Favourite Short Films

This is just an absolute classic with credit to S. Scott-Hayward & A. Kirkland, 2003.

A Change of Direction

To be honest, keeping a blog up to date is a lot harder than I foresaw it to be. Looking at what I used to have posted on here, everything I did to it was pretty much a waste of time. I have now decided that I will make this blog more about me, for I am rad, and the things I do regarding socialising, film and photography and skateboarding. To start off, here is my first ever short film. It's called The Golden Days and took me three hours to make. We used an actor who came down all the way from Oxford. His name is Derek and he was lovely.
